What to Wear

We are so excited to have Kaprice as part of the team at Bella Nicole Photography. She offers affordable styling options that cater to any need or budget. Dressing doesn’t have to be stressful or cost a ton of money. It should be a direct reflection of you and your family. First things first, I do not recommend matching, instead let’s try coordinating. If mom is wearing a yellow dress maybe dad can wear dark blue jeans and a brown shirt, little brother can wear burgundy pants and so on… Just like that we’re in the “earth tone” color category. Everything goes together but we’re not all wearing the same color and blending in. Don’t be afraid to mix it up in fact, I encourage it. If your daughter loves her green polka-dotted shirt let her wear it. Just be sure to keep other siblings in simple colors and patterns. Preferably not white. But if someone loves to wear white, let them, why stress about it?! Just keep everyone else in bold colors. It’s all about wearing what you feel comfortable in while keeping style and coordination in play. Once the outfits are picked out don’t forget or simply give up the shoes. These are seen in almost every pose and they can ruin what could have been the best family photo. Shoes have a sneaky way of stealing the show. We’re all looking at your bright, brand new shoes instead of your beautiful smiles. Try and keep the family in shoes that they’ve already worn. Scuff marks are ok I promise. No tennis shoes for dad, please. Another important key to keep in mind when choosing outfits is where your session is being shot. If you’re going to a tree farm for Holiday photos, Dad probably shouldn’t wear his suit and tie. On the other hand if you’re doing a sunset session and you wanna capture some fancier images go for it. Class it up. If you’re ever unsure what look or style Krissy is trying to capture please don’t ever hesitate to ask. And if you still find yourself wondering whether or not your family looks the part, lets get in touch. I’d be glad to reassure you or take over if you’re stuck! Im always here to help you and your family look and feel amazing for those all important family photos.
